Family Orientation Letter
Dear Family,
Who would have imagined the challenges we faced this past year as a nation, a community, and as individuals? While reflecting back on this past school year two verses come to mind--Proverbs 16:3 - "Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed" and Proverbs 16:9 - "In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps." The first verse teaches that the Lord honors and blesses those things done in accordance with His will, however the second teaches that the Lord will determine the method in which we experience and achieve the success of those things committed unto Him. We all have great plans that may have been committed unto the Lord, but the great challenge is to wait on the Lord and accept His direction in our lives.
At Northwest Christian Academy, we have committed this ministry unto the Lord and affirm that commitment everyday. Although we did not accomplish everything we would have liked this past year we are confident that if we continue to commit this ministry to the Lord and are patient in the process He will bless us all--students, parents, staff, and community--in due season.
Most importantly we want to thank you for joining us on this journey to restore hope to a troubled and challenged world by raising up a generation of Christians who know what they believe and are able to live it out and defend it in the most hostile situations. We consider it a privilege to be involved in Christian Education, because we are directly fulfilling the Great Commission. In addition, we consider it a privilege to minister to your family. Thank you for choosing Northwest Christian Academy as your school. May God continue to bless you in accordance with His will.
On August 9, 2009 at 3:30p in the Church Auditorium we will be conducting our Family Orientation. This is an opportunity to introduce you to the many changes and additions for the new school year. You will also have the opportunity to visit with your child's teachers, enjoy refreshments in the gymnasium, and receive some giveaways.
We look forward to seeing you there as we kick off the new year. May God continue to bless your family.
Sincerely,
L. Jerry Nelson
