Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Sale Fundraiser!
Everybody loves cookies!
There’s not one person we know who does not like cookies. Well this year at Northwest Christian Academy there’s a brand new fundraiser called the Otis Spunkmeyer cookie sale that will help the technology department.
There are many delicious, different varieties such as chocolate chip cookies, white chocolate macadamia nut, and reduced fat chocolate chip cookies. There is also a very special cookie called “The Pink Cookie.” Every time it is bought, the profit will be donated to the “Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.”
To help kick off this fundraiser, Northwest had a pep rally on August 23, 2010. At this pep rally many fun things happened. Our NCA Cheerleaders were there to hype up the crowd for cookies by singing cookie songs and throwing T-shirts to the roaring crowd. After the cheerleaders had their performance, the Cookie Lady gave the crowd quick views of some prizes they could win if they participate in the fundraiser. The prizes consisted of a chicken alarm clock, a magic wallet, security camera, iPod speaker pillow, and the top three winners win a limo ride with their home room teacher.

Now we know parents are wondering, how is this fundraiser benefiting me, my child, and the school? Well, the profits from the fundraiser will be going toward the technology department. Last year we had a chocolate sale that helped the school to get Renweb, which you can now use to check your child’s grades, café account, tuition account and many other things. Our elementary principal Mrs. Brady says, “In the long run, when all the kinks are out, we will cut down on time, cost, and our entire school will run more efficiently.”
So please sell as many cookies as you can!
